Grant Bowler: Reaction To Liz & Dick ‘Disappointing’

It’s been a little more than a month since Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler’s “Liz & Dick” aired & was subsequently largely universally panned – and it’s something that is still tough for Grant to stomach.

AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman caught up with the actor at the NBC Universal portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Session 2013 in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting his upcoming Syfy series “Defiance,” where he spoke about his reaction to the critiques.

”[The reaction to ‘Liz & Dick’] was disappointing in a way because everybody worked so hard. We hard an Oscar-winning hair team, we had an amazing makeup team, the wardrobe was sublime,” he said.

“You work as hard as you can and you try your absolute best, but you never know the end of something at the beginning of something,” he added. “That’s the luck of the draw and that’s the game.”

Back in November, the actor stopped by Access Hollywood Live, where he dished on working with Lindsay Lohan.

“There were exercises in patience and there were exercises in tolerance. I believe it could have been smoother at times, it could have been a lot smoother at times and we could have got a lot more done on a couple of days, but you get what you’re given,” he told Billy and Kit at the time about working with the headline-making actress.

“Defiance,” which also stars “Dexter” alum Julie Benz, debuts on Syfy on April 15.
