He may not have won Dr. Bailey’s heart on “Grey’s Anatomy,” but Daniel Sunjata is getting the chance to woo another primetime belle on “Smash.”
Daniel, who played male nurse Eli on “Grey’s,” will play a recurring character on NBC’s “Smash,” one who is involved with Debra Messing’s character Julia Houston, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Julia had an affair with Michael Swift, played by actor Will Chase, in Season 1.
Daniel most recently appeared in “The Dark Knight Rises” as Captain Jones.
Previously, he was a regular on FX’s “Rescue Me.”
A rep for NBC did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Access Hollywood.
