‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spin-Off To Be Set In LA

LOS ANGELES (March 14, 2007) ? The much-talked-about “Grey’s Anatomy” spin-off will be set in Los Angeles, according to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello.

In February, it was reported that Kate Walsh (who plays sexy neonatal surgeon Dr. Addison Montgomery) would be leaving “Grey’” to spearhead the spin-off.

According to Ausiello, plastic surgery and psychiatry will play prominent roles in the new series. And another L.A. staple will also play a major part ? sex!

A source reportedly told Ausiello, “There’s sex, sex and more sex. I thought I was reading an episode of ‘Nip/Tuck.’”

Of course, as she departs Seattle Grace, Dr. Montgomery will bring some good ol’ fashioned guy candy with her ? Tim Daly and Taye Diggs are also reportedly attached to the project.

The pilot has yet to be finalized and “Grey’s” creator Shonda Rhimes has yet to decide on a title. However, Rhimes recently filled the cast in on the idea and revealed she will write a special two-hour episode to serve as the pilot, with a likely debut in May.
Walsh joined the “Grey’s” cast in May 2005, appearing towards the end of the season one finale.
