“I can’t believe I get to return to ‘The Voice,'” Gwen said in a statement released Wednesday. “It’s so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I’m looking forward to working again with Adam, Blake and Pharrell. I love those guys.”

Gwen joins returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, who have been on the show since its 2011 debut, and Pharrell Williams (this will mark the “Happy” singer’s third season as a coach).

Carson Daly will continue to host the reality singing competition.

“The Voice” Season 9 will premiere in September on NBC.
