Haley Joel Osment’s Mugshot Released

Haley Joel Osment posed for the cameras on Wednesday morning. But this was no red carpet.

Osment, 18, had his booking photo taken roughly two weeks after being charged on August 17 with misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence, marijuana possession and driving under the influence with the special allegation of having a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent or higher.

He also faces a vehicle code infraction of being under the age of 21 and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .05 percent or greater.

Osment was scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 19 in California’s Glendale Superior Court. He faces up to six months in jail on charges that he was driving drunk and possessing marijuana, authorities said.

Haley lost control of his 1995 Saturn on his way home in the La Canada area around 1 a.m. on July 20. The vehicle flipped over and Osment suffered a broken rib and a shoulder injury.

He was taken to Pasadena’s Huntington Memorial Hospital at the time.

After the accident, a rep for Haley released the following statement to Access:

“Haley is doing well. He has a broken rib and lacerations to his arm but is expected to make a quick recovery. Contrary to earlier reports Haley was, in fact, wearing his seatbelt. He removed the belt to climb into the back seat where he was better able to exit the vehicle. The driver’s side door was blocked by the air bag that opened on impact. Your concern and good wishes are truly appreciated,” the statement said.

The actor is scheduled to be arraigned on Sept. 19 in Glendale Superior Court. He is scheduled to surrender at a later date to be booked. The D.A.‘s office is asking that bail be set at $15,000.
