Hasselhoff Family Secrets Revealed: The Catchphrases David Really Uses At Home

Fans around the world may be familiar with the slogan “Don’t Hassel the Hoff,” but at home, David Hasselhoff has quite a few more name-related catch phrases.

“At home, he does use Hoff-isms a lot,” daughter Hayley told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, as the family appeared on Access Hollywood Live on Friday.

When asked for some examples, Hayley said her dad often says things like, “It’s Hofftastic!”

Sister Taylor-Ann added that their dad has even combined his name with a breakfast beverage.

“You guys want a cup of Hoff-ee?” she recounted with a laugh.

David chimed in too, revealing he often says, “Don’t Hassel the Hoffather!”

The actor and his daughters will give fans a look into their lives on their new reality show, “The Hasselhoffs,” which premieres on A&E this Sunday night. David said making the program has helped them grow closer.

“Actually, [through] the process of making this show, we found out… we had to kind of face issues that we had kind of put under the carpet, because we said, ‘Let’s talk about this now,’” David recounted. “And it was good because we got rid of them and we let ‘em go and we moved on.

“It’s been an interesting seven months with this show,” David added of the realizations that came with the filming process. “It’s pretty heartwarming at times and in the end it’s a lot of fun.”

Beyond Hoff-isms and reality show talk, the girls also had a good time poking fun at dad about his popularity, giggling about the various women that hit on David.

“A lot of girls are extremely attracted to him and they throw themselves [at] my dad,” Taylor-Ann said.

While the sisters can laugh about the attention their dad gets from the ladies, Taylor-Ann said she doesn’t give her dad any dating advice.

“I always just say, if you love somebody, then I’m happy for you. If you’re happy, then I’m happy,” she added.
