HBO’s Entourage Heading To The Big Screen

Vinnie Chase to star in “Aquaman 2”? It’s possible – because HBO’s “Entourage” is headed to the big screen.

According to Deadline, Adrian Grenier will return as Vincent Chase, Kevin Connolly is back as Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon will reprise Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara returns as Turtle, and Jeremy Piven will play uber talent agent Ari Gold for the big screen project.

No word on whether Lloyd (Rex Lee), Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Scott (Scott Caan), Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro) and Ari’s agency partner Barbara Miller (Beverly D’Angelo) will return, but Deadline believes they (along with slew of other Hollywood names) will also appear in the film.

The upcoming film will be directed series creator Doug Ellin, who also penned the screenplay.

Back in July 2011, Adrian predicted that the big screen version of his HBO series, which ran from 2004-2011, would “absolutely” happen.

“I feel that we all thought we could use more episodes, more seasons,” he told Access Hollywood at the time. “Of course, the thing about ‘Entourage’ is that it’s [about] the ups and downs of the business and life that always flow. I think there is more time and opportunity to explore that.”

Also in July of 2011, executive producer Mark Wahlberg said fans have always been craving an extended look at the character’s lives.

“People have always complained that the episodes are too short and they want to go on a journey with these guys,” Wahlberg said at the Television Critics Association Summer Session 2011.

The movie’s start and release date have yet to be announced.
