Healthy Hollywood: Get Movin’ Monday – Kim Kardashian’s Pre-Wedding Workout!

Kim is shedding for her upcoming wedding. The newly engaged reality icon was recently spotted at Barry’s Bootcamp in Los Angeles. This hardcore workout program won’t make you sweat lightly!

It’s a high-intensity, calorie-burning drill sergeant style class that combines major cardio and strength training.

“It’s torture, but it’s amazing. I see a difference right away when I go,” Kim has said.

Kim is not the only famous fitness fanatic into this sweat-fest - Jessica Alba, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Britney Spears are all fans. So, why do the famous flock here to get in shape?

“In a couple months you will have your high school body back again,” promises Barry’s Bootcamp president and trainer, Joey Gonzalez. “At Barry’s Bootcamp you will run at different speeds and elevations and you will also do an endless assortment of exercises using free weights, bands, balls, and other toys as well as your own body weight.”

Healthy Hollywood is breaking into a sweat just thinking about it!

So, you want to get into fabulous form like the stars? Well, Joey shares with Healthy Hollywood his insider tips to getting the coveted body parts of some of his famous clients.

Ali Larter’s Legs:
“She has an amazing set of legs, in case you haven’t noticed. As you get a little more comfortable with these exercises, add weight,” states Joey.

Do It Yourself -
Perform an alternating lunge for 1 minute and then HOLD with your right foot forward for 30 seconds. Relax. Then, perform an alternating lunge for 1 minute and then HOLD with your left foot forward for 30 seconds.

Christina Applegate’s Arms:
“Women often complain about “FLARM” – flabby arms – which is typically due to weak underdeveloped triceps,” advises Joey.

Do It Yourself -
On the edge of the couch or a supportive ledge, do one minute of tricep dips. Then drop to the floor and finish with 30 seconds of Tricep Pushups (make a triangle with your thumbs and index fingers to target triceps).

Jennifer Lopez’s Booty:
“She’s been to our famous butt & legs class…where we spend a FULL HOUR focusing on your derriere,” reveals Joey!

Do It Yourself -
On all fours, kick back and slightly up with your right foot slowly for 30 seconds – fast for 30 seconds – and then hold and pulse with a pointed toe for 30 seconds. Repeat on the other side.

Taye Diggs’ Abs:
“Most people have seen the abs on that guy! People always lay down to do abs but there is so much you can do standing,” advises Joey!

Do It Yourself -
Stand up straight and reach to the right with your right hand in a side bend. Try and reach past your knee. Swing back up and reach with your left past the left knee. Repeat for 1 minute.
