Healthy Hollywood: Stacy Keibler’s Tailgating Tips!

“I’m a huge football fan. The game, the intense competition, but especially tailgating with my friends and family to cheer on my hometown team – go Ravens,” exclaims to Stacy to Healthy Hollywood.

This is one of Stacy’s favorite times of the year – the start of the NFL football season. After all, long before she was a red carpet sensation, the leggy 33-year-old was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens. She’s still lots of game day spirit!

So, it makes sense, Stacy teamed up the Charmin Relief Project, to bring football fans a cleaner tailgate experience. As part of her spokeswoman’s duties, Stacy kicked-off the program at the NFL season opener, which just happened to be a showdown between her favorite team, the Ravens versus the Denver Broncos.

Charmin and Stacy gave away 20 fresh-smelling portable restrooms to football’s biggest fans. And, they plan to make three more stadium stops during the NFL season. In other words, some lucky tail-gating dudes will get a chance to party with Stacy.

And, this gal is serious about her football and her team, adding, “I can’t watch a Baltimore game without wearing my favorite Ravens jersey. It brought me good luck last season – they went all the way to the Super Bowl!” She’s even designed her own line of football fan gear for women with Meesh & Mia.

Stacy shared with Healthy Hollywood her top 5 tips to putting together an awesome tailgating bash – both at the stadium and at home.

1. Represent your team with pride and style by choosing a look that is both comfortable and cute like my new collection from Meesh & Mia. It even features Ravens-inspired gear among other teams.

2. Make your tailgate stand out from the rest! Use fun colored napkins, utensils and decorations that represent your team. It’s okay to go the extra step!

3. Create a kabob station with lean meats and your favorite grilled vegetables for a DIY dinner.

4. Do yourself a favor and locate the bathrooms before you start to unload. Charmin is putting a fresh spin on the tailgate bathroom experience by providing upscale restrooms to football fanatics during select games across the country through the Charmin Relief Project.

5. Turn up your favorite tunes and invite your guests to play a game to pass the time until kick-off. Setting up a game of Cornhole or tossing a football are great ways to keep guests active and entertained.

And, if you’re inviting friends over for game day, Stacy shares these healthy party tips.

Yes, there are so many ways to go healthy and still have fun foods to enjoy.

1. Substitute chips and fatty dips for cut veggie sticks and hummus. It’s a quick and easy way to satisfy taste buds while the rest of the food is prepared.

2. Make your famous chili recipe with grass-fed ground turkey or chicken rather than heavy beef and pork. Load it up with veggies and the guys will never know!

3. Prepare drinks with frozen fruit in your team colors and use them as ice cubes - there should always be something for the non-beer drinkers.

4. Serve grilled or baked chicken to your guests rather than options that are fried or slathered in sauces or marinades high in salt. Dress them up with your favorite dried herbs and spices!

5. Don’t forget dessert! Slice up some of your favorite fruits – like pineapples or apples lightly sprinkled in cinnamon and sugar – and put them on the grill.
