The holidays are the season of parties, calorie-rich buffets, cookies and one too many drinks at night. And these temptations aren’t going away anytime soon.
While, the holiday weight gain is exaggerated, most people put on a mere one pound – not the 5 to 7 often reported by the media.
Most folks never shed that extra pound, so the holiday pound does contribute to long term gains.
One way to beat the bulk is to a eat protein bar in between meals or as a meal substitute. The go-to-bar of Hollywood celebs is thinkThin. Eat 150 calories two hours before the party, like chicken breast, a hard boild egg or a thinkThin bar…to fill up your stomach and satisfy cravings,” advises Lizanne.
A steadfast rule is to drink plenty of water. “It’s great for your skin and digestion (especially during the stressful holiday season) and will keep you feeling full. Enjoy yourself, limit your snacking, and if you feel like you’ve eaten too much – dance it off,” exclaims Lizanne!
