Healthy Hollywood: Try It On Tuesday – Miranda Kerr’s Smooth Skin Secret!

Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr is absolutely stunning. The Aussie model and wife of actor Orlando Bloom got lucky in the gene pool, but she still has to work to keep her body model-ready.

Her secret is dry body brushing.

Miranda has rubbed a dry natural bristle brush over her body for years to maintain her smooth skin. Molly Sims and Jennifer Aniston also use this cellulite-fighting remedy.

“Dry brushing is a daily detox,” adds Kiki Flynn, a New York City Yoga instructor at Pure Yoga and dry brush aficionado.

Kiki reveals, “The benefits are many. The brush sloughs off dead skin cells making way for new fresh skin that is smooth and clear and more readily absorbs moisturizer. Brushing increases blood circulation, helping to detox and clear skin from blemishes. This all adds up to clear bright skin that is smoother and more youthful looking with a reduction in the appearance of cellulite!”

Yup! Dry brush devotees swear this daily treatment helps to diminish cellulite.

Reduce cellulite? Healthy Hollywood is all ears.

“I’ve done this daily for 25 years. I want to hand a brush to every young woman I see wearing shorts or a summer skirt. It is as old as Egyptian culture and an essential anti-aging secret,” promises Kiki.

Plus, dry brushing is a whole lot cheaper than a trip to the spa. Simply buy a vegetable-bristled brush at a health food store (should cost less than $15) and give your body a head-to-toe scrub every morning. Remember this is done on dry skin with a dry brush – hence dry brushing!

“Begin at your feet and brush in small brisk circles on the feet, on the ankles and in long oval strokes up the shine, calves and around the knees. Continue in several circles, brushing up the thighs front and backs. Any area that seems congested with toxins or cellulite, take a few extra strokes. Continue in clockwise circles over the abdomen and lower back, as well as hips, and then forearms and upper arms. Finish with a few gentle strokes from your shoulders and up your neck,” advises Kiki.
