Healthy Hollywood: Victor Cruz’s Big-Hearted Mission!

Healthy Hollywood gives a big post-season cheer to New York Giants star Victor Cruz. The football stud proves he’s got major game on and off the field.

During the Super Bowl weekend, Victor took time out from the festivities to inspire young kids to get educated. Giving back is good for your health – and Victor does his best to help those around him.

“I feel like if I can get them as excited about education as they are about football and basketball than I’ve accomplished something,” reveals Cruz.

Cruz teamed up with Time Warner Cable and Connect A Million Minds to celebrate “Connect A Million Minds Day,” which aims to ignite kids’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Over 300 Boys & Girls students from the local New York area were invited to meet Cruz and take part in some hands-on learning activities.

“As a former Boys & Girls club member, I’m thrilled to have taken part in “Connect A Millions Minds Day.” I’ve made it my personal mission to help the next generation understand the importance of taking an interest in subjects like math and science,” adds Victor, who grew up in Paterson, New Jersey.

As part of his participation, Cruz helped wrap up eggs in various protective athletic gear and tested how the eggs held up when tossed around. “It’s exciting to see how the eggs will do and the kids can see the type of beating I take on the field,” jokes Victor.
