Healthy Hollywood: Wellness Wednesday – Kristin Davis’ New Mommy Wisdom!

Kristin Davis joined the new moms club in October of last year. The “Sex and The City” actress adopted a baby girl, Gemma Rose, which fulfilled her longtime dream of becoming a mom.

“Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed,” she revealed to People magazine.

Just like most moms, Kristin, 47, is dedicated to doing the best for her daughter, but she also realizes the importance of taking care of herself. After all, if moms don’t feel happy and well, chances are their parenting skills won’t be at their optimum.

Healthy Hollywood caught up with the single mom at a launch event for Zarbee’s all natural cough products for kids and adults in New York City, where Kristin happily shared her top three healthy tips for new moms.

Kristin’s Wellness Tips:

1. Eat Right:
Prepare healthy meals and snacks (like brown rice) when you have a few minutes so you can throw it in the refrigerator and have something healthy on hand when you get the chance to eat.

2. Go Natural:
Rely on natural products you can trust, especially when you get sick. You can’t be at your best when you feel terrible! I love Zarbee’s because it’s an all natural product that helps with coughs and allergies without making me feel drowsy.

3. Make Time for Yourself:
It is hectic being a mom so try to carve out some “me” time during the day – even just a minute to breathe and assess what you need so you can be your best for your baby.

As to whether Kristin is ready for baby number two, she revealed to Anderson Cooper that one is enough for now. “Because I’m a single mom, I want to focus on her and make sure I’m doing a good job first.”
