Heather Locklear & Jack Wagner Engaged!

Heather Locklear is set to walk down the aisle with a former castmate – in real life.

The former “Melrose Place” actress is engaged to her former co-star, and longtime boyfriend, Jack Wagner, her rep confirmed to Access Hollywood on Friday.

The couple has been dating since 2007.

Heather and Jack actually had an on-screen romance on “Melrose Place” in the mid 1990s, long before their real life romance began, as the characters Amanda Woodward and Dr. Peter Burns.

According to In Touch Weekly, Jack used the winnings — $125K — from a recent golf tournament to buy Heather a 6-carat diamond ring.

On the former primetime soapy drama, Amanda and Peter engaged in a relationship until Dr. Peter’s doctor group bought D&D advertising, where she worked, and he later drugged her.

Rumors that the couple was engaged surfaced numerous times over the course of their real life relationship, but back in February 2011, when the last set of rumors popped up, Jack explained to E! that he and Heather were considering their children before taking the next step in their relationship.

“The reality is she has a 13-year-old daughter and I have a 16-year-old son,” Jack told E! at the time. “To try to put two families together, everything has to be in place to do that. It’s more about…doing the right thing for the kids. That’s kind of what our focus is right now.”

This would be the third marriage for Locklear. She was married to rocker Tommy Lee from May 1986 to August 1993, and to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora from December 1994 to February 2006.

Wagner was previously married to another on-screen co-star – his “General Hospital” love interest, Kristina Wagner. They divorced in 2006.
