Helena Bonham Carter’s Oscar Outfit Plans: ‘It’s Probably Going To Be A Catastrophe’

Helena Bonham Carter made headlines after she turned up at the Golden Globes last month in two different color shoes, but at the Oscars, where the actress is up for Best Supporting Actress for her work in “The King’s Speech,” her footwear will match.

“I promise you, I’ll wear the same colors shoes,” she told reporters on Monday at the annual Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills.

While the shoes may be decided on, that might be the only clothing selection Helena has nailed down.

“I have no idea [what I’m wearing],” she said of her Oscar attire above the ankles. “Of course, I want to have fun. I have no idea really.”

The Brit noted, however, that her look would be eye-catching.

“It’s probably going to be a catastrophe,” she said. “But it’s like, I’m gonna go for it.”

Helena said her partner, director Tim Burton, is very aware she leaves her fashion decisions until very late.

“As my boyfriend knows, it’s right up to the last minute… Can go wrong at any time,” she laughed. “It’s a mystery to me, actually, at this point.”
