Henry Cavill In Talks To Replace Tom Cruise In The Man From U.N.C.L.E

Tom Cruise could be replaced by another big screen leading man.

According to Variety, “Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill is in talks to take over Tom’s role in the upcoming spy thriller, “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.”

Henry would co-star with Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander in the Guy Ritchie-directed movie.

The British actor, who dons the iconic Superman cape this summer, first read for the role being played by Armie.

Tom dropped out of the big screen version of the 1960s spy television series because it will overlap with filming on “Mission: Impossible 5.”

NBC first aired “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” from 1964-1968.

Tom isn’t the first actor to exit the project. At one point, George Clooney was attached, but he too exited the project.
