Hilary Duff & Husband Mike Comrie Expecting First Child

Hilary Duff and her husband, Mike Comrie, are celebrating more than their one-year anniversary this weekend — they have a baby on the way.

“This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary… I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun!” Hilary wrote on her Facebook page.

“We also want to share the exciting news that…… BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives,” she continued. “Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!”

This will be the first child for pair, who married in Santa Barbara, Calif., last year after first meeting at an Idaho resort in 2007.

Back in May, Hilary said she and her professional hockey player husband weren’t in a rush to become parents, but had discussed the idea.

“We talk about it. Yes, we’re excited to do that, but I want to work a little bit more,” Hilary told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover at the time, when asked if she and Mike were planning to have children during an interview on Access Hollywood Live.

“I’m tossing around the idea of making another record and obviously that wouldn’t be very good timing,” the former “Lizzie McGuire” star continued. “We want it, we’re excited for it, but I think it can wait just a little while longer.”

She added that while Mike was enthusiastic about adding to their family, he was completely behind her decision to wait.

“He’s supportive of me, he knows that I’m still young and if I want to work more, he’s totally supportive of that,” she added.
