LOS ANGELES (October 13, 2006) –Access Hollywood has discovered chilling court papers filed on behalf of Hilary Duff and boyfriend Joel Madden, who are apparently afraid for their lives.
The couple is seeking a restraining order against two men who have allegedly made repeated attempts to contact Hilary.
The papers allege that a 19-year-old Russian came to Los Angeles for the “sole purpose of becoming romantically involved” with Hilary. It also claims the man is “obsessed with her” and will “purchase a weapon” in order to “remove his enemies” should they stand in his way or “kill himself” to get her attention.
The papers also ask that both men remain at least 100 feet away from not only Hilary and Joel, but also Hilary’s sister and mother and Joel’s twin brother Benji.
The documents say police detained the man at least once at one of Madden’s concerts and questioned his roommate, as well.
