Holly Madison: I’m No Gold Digger, No Axe To Grind

Holly Madison was one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends for seven years, but according to Holly, Hef wasn’t interested in having a child with the blond beauty (or marriage).

Their relationship ended in 2008, and Holly is now spilling the secrets in her new book, “Down the Rabbit Hole,” where the former Playmate claims Hefner offered her drugs.

“He offered me Quaaludes the first night I was out with him and I was kind of taken aback because I was 22 back in 2001—I barely knew what a Quaalude was,” she claimed to Access Hollywood guest correspondent Scott Evans on Tuesday. Holly went on to make more claims, saying “It should’ve sounded more alarms than it did. I know he was getting them from somewhere and I saw him offering to girls many times over the years. I definitely thought it was weird.”

Holly, now 35 and a mom, said the Playboy magnate fostered a catty, competitive environment.

“Bridget and Kendra and I got along really well. There were seven other girls – I definitely blamed the other girls for the problems, like ‘if they were gone i’d be so much happier,'” she said. “At first, the whole thing seemed kind of light and fun and not serious, then as I got more involved, I started to feel really ugly and really did a number on my self-esteem. We were all in competition all the time to be better looking. I saw so many girls that were beautiful to begin with, then they started getting plastic surgery – procedure after procedure.”

Holly said she hasn’t spoken to Hef in four years. He hasn’t responded to her specific allegations, but he released a statement regarding Holly’s book saying he’s still friends with many of his ex-girlfriends, but that “sadly there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight. I guess, as the old saying goes: you can’t win ’em all.”

Holly said she didn’t write the book for “revenge” or because she has “an axe to grind.”

“I don’t even care what his response is, I just wanted people to know my story, where I’m coming from and my truth,” she added.

Hefner’s youngest child, Cooper, 23, Tweeted his thoughts about Holly’s book with a couple of insults, writing, “Holly Hadison, V. Stiviano, and a few other lovely ladies that lived in LA make a Justice League type group of wonderfully sh*tty people,” and “How does a person who is famous for being a gold digger paint themselves as a victim of a relationship they aggressively sought out?”

Holly responded, “I’m not painting myself as victim… I understand he wants to stand up for his dad because that’s his dad. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished since then and I don’t see myself as a gold digger.”
