Holly Robinson Peete: Omarosa Is ‘Doing As Well As She Can’ Following Michael Clarke Duncan’s Death

Holly Robinson Peete was a close friend to the late Michael Clarke Duncan and visited the actor and his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault Stallworth, in the hospital before he passed away on Monday.

“She’s doing as well as she can,” Holly told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live, explaining that Omarosa has kept herself busy by planning a celebration of the star’s life.

“They loved each other so much… They just had something really magical, they were planning a wedding in Africa,” Holly continued. “[Omarosa] was not given a whole lot of hope, but she was not ever going to give up on him.”

Holly said that the late actor – who was hospitalized for almost two months following a heart attack – was fighting until the end.

“One of the things [Omarosa] wanted people to know, [is] he fought, he fought really, really hard,” she continued. “I saw him open his eyes… He would have the Olympics in front of him on the TV… There were moments of hope. There was a lot of hope and she was not giving up on him.”

Adding, “I’m going to really miss him as everybody will.”
