Hollywood Sends Well Wishes To Japan Following Devastating Earthquake

Hollywood is keeping the people of Japan in their thoughts and prayers following the 8.9-magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that wrecked havoc on the Pacific island nation.

“I’m sending my thoughts and prayers and love to those in Japan who are hurting,” Taylor Swift Tweeted Friday morning.

“The images on the news are breaking my heart. I am so worried for everyone in Japan. My thoughts are with you Japan. God bless you all,” Paris Hilton wrote on Twitter.

“Watching news N utter shock&horror. God Bless everyone&their families N Japan struck by this horrific earthquake&Tsunami,” Tori Spelling Tweeted.

“Glee” star Lea Michele, wrote, “So devastating to hear about the huge earthquake & tsunami Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone there.”

Katy Perry asked her Twitter followers to keep the people affected in their thoughts, Tweeting, “My prayers go out to anyone that is being effected by the disaster in Japan… #prayforjapan”

Ben Stiller echoed Katy, Tweeting, “Sending good thoughts and prayers to people of Japan.”

“Just heard about the huge earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My prayers are with everyone in Japan!,” Kim Kardashian wrote on Twitter.

As a tsunami warning was issued for Hawaii and the U.S. west coast, other celebrities extended their thoughts and concerns.

“Praying for everyone in Japan. And praying that West Coasters will be okay,” “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd wrote in a Twitter post.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Tweeted, “OMG just watched the news! My prayers go out to Japan!”

“GLUED to the tv since early this morning. Japan’s heartwrenching disaster is just unbelievable,” Paula Abdul wrote.

Justin Bieber urged his fans to help those affected, Tweeting, “Japan is one of my favorite places on earth…it’s an incredible culture with amazing people. My prayers go out to them. We all need to help”

Charlie Sheen also Tweeted about the devastation on Friday, writing, “Curveball; Warlock edict; pain & devastation in Japan demands us all to dig deep & LOVE THEM VIOLENTLY Dogspeed my cadres of the Far East!”

Later on Friday, many stars – including Tom Cruise, Sofia Vergara, Nicky Hilton, Ryan Seacrest, William Shatner, “Dancing with the Stars” pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and many more urged their followers to donate to the Red Cross.

Jimmy Kimmel sent of slew of Tweets while on vacation in the middle of the Pacific.

“I am on an island in French Polynesia, glued to CNN,” he Tweeted Friday morning. “thanks to those who sent good wishes – this is crazy… thanks again for the concern – I am now worried others will worry if I don’t tweet… we are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”
