“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” stars Alana Thompson and her mother June stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday keeping Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on their toes – and also ducking for cover!
When the 7-year-old TLC star wasn’t tossing pillows or dolls at Billy, she managed to reveal that her favorite Los Angeles attraction that she’s enjoyed during her recent trip was a water fountain at a local shopping center.
As for her favorite Hollywood celebrities, the surprisingly shy (at least initially during Tuesday’s interview) reality TV star said, “‘iCarly’ and One Direction.”
Despite her skyrocket ride to reality TV stardom, June explained that Alana and her other daughters are still just normal kids from Georgia.
“We’re just ourselves, we’re unscripted, we’re real… we just don’t give a care what people think about us. You gotta be yourself,” she told Billy and Kit. “My kids live a very normal life. [Alana] goes to public school.”
June and Alana might be making the rounds on TV, promoting their TLC series, but back home they enjoy the simple things.
“She loves to go to Wal-Mart, she loves to go shopping and that’s what she does every day without or without the show,” she continued.
June also gave an update on her daughter Anna’s recent new addition — Anna gave birth to daughter Kaitlyn, who was born with an extra thumb
“The baby is doing good,” June said of her granddaughter, but explained they’re not sure if they’ll operate to remove the extra digit. “We just have to wait awhile and see what the function is going to [be].”
