‘Housewives Of DC’ Star Michaele Salahi Recounts Her ‘View’ Incident

“The Real Housewives of DC” castmember Michaele Salahi – one half of the alleged White House party crasher couple – gave Access Hollywood her side of Wednesday’s incident from “The View,” during which moderator Whoopi Goldberg interrupted her appearance on the ABC talk show.

“She was all the way off camera, not a part of that interview. She was in the green room and for her to jump out and be frustrated; I get it, but don’t take it out on me. Go to your counterparts or… the show producer and say, ‘Let’s move it along,’” Michaele told Access on Thursday, referring to Whoopi. “Don’t yell at me. I’m a guest. I just met you three minutes ago.”

On Thursday’s “The View,” Whoopi explained her take on the incident.

“I come out sometimes just because I wanna and sometimes stuff gets… that’s the way things work around here,” Whoopi explained. “I was waiting backstage for the stuff to get back to The White House part. Now here’s another camera that shows exactly what I did and what I said.”

“The View” aired footage from a different vantage point showing that Whoopi did not grab or hit Michaele.

Michaele told Access the real drama heated up backstage following the incident.

“Whoopi approached me, and I was sitting away and getting ready to leave and Whoopi came up and approached me and someone told her, ‘She’s gonna say you hit her.’ Well, I never said that, so she came in and said, ‘Did you say I hit you? F that!’ And it was like F every other thing… and I’m not used to that. It’s very uncivilized,” Michaele claimed.

Whoopi recounted her version of the backstage encounter, saying, “I was told that she thought that I hit her, so I went up to her and told her that she knew I didn’t hit her and… I said it [with] choice words. Then her husband got in my face, had his Blackberry out and started taking pictures of me, and needless to say, I nearly went off then and there were even more choicer words… And I make no apology about my choice words.”

The reality star told Access that she’s disappointed about her appearance on the ABC talk show.

“I was saddened,” Michaele said. “It wasn’t even that I was boiling. I don’t have that rage, like you saw with Whoopi.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a rep for the ABC show program vehemently denied the alleged accusation that Whoopi grabbed or hit her.

Lisa Bloom, an attorney for the reality star, said in a statement to Access that the incident “unnerved” Michaele, noting that she never claimed she was hit, but that the talk show host “shook her arm.”
