How Much Is The ‘Dancing’ Mirrorball Really Worth? Tom Bergeron Takes A Guess

On Monday, Rob Kardashian, J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake will battle for mirrorball glory on “Dancing with the Stars,” but whoever wins Season 13 shouldn’t expect to be able to cash in on the trophy.

“I’m guessing you’re looking at, at least $12-$15 there,” Tom joked with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live, regarding the value of the actual mirrorball.

This week’s competition round on “Dancing” prompted some lower scores than usual for Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who eventually went home.

On Monday, Hope even suggested the judges didn’t want her around, but Tom said he didn’t believe that was the case.

“I didn’t have a chance to say this to them, but going into Monday’s show, for all the conspiracy theorists, they were tied in judges points with Rob and Cheryl [Burke],” Tom told Billy and Kit. “They were in a dead tie and the week before they had gotten three 9s for a dance, so I didn’t quite understand why they felt — or why Hope felt — that the judges wanted her out from Week 1.”

In late October, Maks made arguably the most famous statement to come out of Season 13, calling “DWTS,” “my show,” after Hope was slammed by the judges for a flatfooted rumba, and Tom told Billy and Kit he understood where the pro was coming from.

“There’s a pride of ownership that we all have about the show,” Tom said.

The “DWTS” finals kick off on Monday night at 8/7 C on ABC.
