‘HTGAWM’ Cast, Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Chastain & More React To Viola Davis’ Oscars Win

Viola Davis won Oscar gold on Sunday night and her castmates
and colleagues were quick to celebrate the news, and send their well wishes on Twitter.

Jack Falahee, who plays one of Viola’s students on ABC’s
“How to Get Away with Murder,”
tweeted, “When journalists ask me ‘what’s it like to work with Viola
Davis’ for the 100th time I’m gonna bottle these tears and show em. ‘LOOK! See?!'”

Aja Naomi King, who plays Michaela on “HTGAWM,”
wrote, “@violadavis just won an #Oscar and for a moment everything is
right in the world!”

Matt McGorry, who plays Asher on “HTGAWM,” tweeted, “This makes me SO happy and is
so incredible and well deserved. Congratulations.”

Oprah Winfrey tweeted, “Here comes Viola’s award!!
@violadavis congratulations!” adding handclap emojis.

She also quoted part of Viola’s acceptance speech in her
second tweet, writing, “Hallelujerrrrrrr! @violadavis
! ‘ We are the only profession that celebrates what it means
to live a life!'”

Jessica Chastain, who co-starred with Viola in “The
Help,” wrote, “It’s about damn time. Should have won years ago.
WOOOOHOOOOOOO! I love you! @violadavis #Oscars #BestSupportingActress.”

And Ellen DeGeneres wrote, “.@ViolaDavis, you are a national treasure. #Oscars.”

The Oscars are currently airing live on ABC.
