Hugh Jackman Announces Final ‘Wolverine’ Performance

Hugh Jackman is getting de-clawed.

The actor announced on Saturday that he is almost done with the role of his “X-Men” character, Wolverine.

“WOLVERINE …ONE LAST TIME. HJ,” he posted on Instagram, with a photo of his two fists and three claws coming out of the knuckles on his right hand.

The third “Wolverine” stand-alone film is slated to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.

It is unknown if Hugh will also appear as Wolverine in “X-Men: Apocalypse” – which is due to be released on May 27, 2016 – or “Deadpool” – out February 12, 2016.

Hugh first clawed up as Wolverine in 2000’s “X-Men,” later reprising the role in 2003’s “X-Men 2,” 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand,” 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” 2011’s “X-Men: First Class,” 2013’s “The Wolverine” and 2014’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
