Ian Ziering: ‘Sharknado 2’ ‘Reads Like A $100 Million Script’

The actor appeared on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live, where he chatted with Billy Bush and guest co-host Kristin Cavallari about the highly-anticipated sequel.

“The action doesn’t stop ever,” the actor said.

“It reads like a $100 million script, but they shot it on a hundredth of a budget,” he continued. “It pulls you in. It’s good fun. It’s a summer blockbuster.”

The cast and crew made the over-the-top movie at a breakneck speed, in harsh conditions.

“We shot the movie in 18 days, at the beginning of March, where the weather didn’t get above 20 degrees,” he explained of the movie that will air in 90 countries in 24 hours, starting tomorrow.

Adding, “It’s going to be a global storm!”

“Sharknado 2: The Second One” airs July 30 at 9/8c on Syfy.
