Inside Jessica Simpson’s Co-Ed Bachelorette Party

Jessica Simpson celebrated her upcoming wedding to Eric Johnson with a co-ed bachelorette party on Sunday.

The 33-year-old bride-to-be, along with her fiance, 34, hosted a group of 40 people for the low-key bash at Warwick in Los Angeles, according to People.

“It wasn’t about being naughty,” a friend of Jessica’s told the mag. “They just wanted a great night out with their friends and family.”

Jess’ mom, Tina, and dad Joe attended the party as well, the mag reported.

“They didn’t want a traditional bachelor-bachelorette where they go off and do their own thing, because our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together,” Jessica’s longtime friend and bridesmaid, Stephanie Terblanche, said.

“This is what we would do anyway. We would all go out, and I think that this speaks for the group. If we are not going to be at someone’s house hanging out playing beer pong, this is the closest thing to it,” she added.

And the group steered clear of standard X-rated bachelorette decorations.

”[They] were just excited to have some fun and celebrate with the people they love,” adds the friend.

Jessica and Eric, who got engaged in November 2010 and have two children together, will reportedly tie the knot in July in Santa Barbara, Calif.
