Inside Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries’ ‘Spectacular’ Wedding & Reception

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries might have had 450 guests and over a dozen cameras filming their wedding on Saturday, but the happy couple was able to create an intimate and warm celebration – and, keep most of the details under wraps!

People Assistant Editor Jen Garcia, the only print journalist inside the Montecito ceremony, stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Monday to dish on details from inside the lavish event.

“It was beautiful, it was just specular,” Jen raved to Kit Hoover and guest co-host Arsenio Hall. “[Kim] took everyone’s breathe away, stunning!”

Despite all the hoopla and massive behind-the-scenes work needed to pull off such a huge event, Jen said there weren’t any snafus.

“It all went along pretty smoothly. It was rather low-key,” she explained. “There were no tears, I was surprised. It was all smiles. Kim was totally cool as a cucumber. Kris was a little nervous right at the beginning, understandably so.”

Jen said the happy couple also nailed their first kiss as husband and wife.

“The kiss was sweet. She kind of grabbed his face, they were wrapped around each other, it was very sweet. It was perfect. It was the right amount of emotion,” she continued. “I thought it would feel a little more like a production, [but] it was intimate. They did such a great job of making it feel warm and inviting.”

The warm ceremony set the stage for a more celebratory reception, which included a slew of celebrity guests like Robin Thicke, Ali, Dina and Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough, Mark Ballas, Katie Lee Gifford, La La Anthony and Serena Williams.

“There was definitely no shortage of booze,” Jen said of the reception. “Kourtney and Khloe were having a great time. When they were giving their speeches and introducing one of the bands they were holding up a bottle of champagne. They were definitely having some fun.”

Jen said that Lindsay also had fun, but not too much fun.

“She was well behaved, I promise,” Jen said of the headline-making actress.

The newlyweds, who got a few dancing pointers from Kim’s “Dancing with the Stars” partner Mark Ballas, also impressed during their first dance.

”[They] were fantastic [dancers]… it was pretty impressive, but short,” she said of the couple, whose first dance was to Robin Thicke performing his song, “Angels.” “Their family joined them on the dance floor shortly after. Everyone got out there and boogied.”

La La Anthony also stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Monday to chat about her new VH1 show, “La La’s Full Court Life,” and she relived her exciting night at Kim and Kris’ wedding.

“It was amazing! It was the royal wedding of the United States,” the star who attended with husband and NBA star Carmelo Anthony said. “Seeing my best friend get married was just a moment. Probably why I’m a little exhausted right now. I think I partied a little too much, but it was definitely amazing. Myself and Serena Williams, we danced the night away.”

Kathie Lee Gifford showed Access all the goodies that guests were given at the weekend ceremony. The gift bags included personalized treasures like flip flops that said, “Kim Loves Kris,” an assortment of nail polishes – with one named “Here Kims The Bride” – and scented candles.

“They couldn’t give you enough stuff at this thing, which was fine,” Kathie Lee told Access.
