Ireland Baldwin’s Modeling Advice From Mom Kim Basinger

Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, is carving out her own name as a model and she has been using her mom’s wise advice as a guide.

“My mom taught me to go on and have fun and avoid everyone else’s comments and avoid what people are going to say about you,” she told Access Hollywood on Thursday at the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Event celebrating Blonde Awareness Month, held in New York City. “As long as you’re the one that’s smiling and having a good time then you’re the one that’s gonna be successful.”

Ireland is on the right modeling path and fitting into her own skin in front of the cameras.

“Slowly, surely,” she said of how it’s all going. “It’s still gonna take thousands more jobs ‘til I finally settle in… but it’s fun.”

While Ireland was having fun at the John Frieda Sheer Blonde event, she admitted her hair, just like many young women, has been every shade of the rainbow.

“I’ve experimented,” she told Access of her locks. “I’ve been black, I’ve been through them all, so blondes do have more fun.”
