(September 12, 2006) — Earlier this summer, Lindsay Lohan?s mother, Dina, defended her daughter against charges that her partying was a problem on the set of “Georgia Rule”. Jane Fonda plays Lindsay’s grandmother in that film, and after seeing what really went on she gave Maria Menounos her take, saying ?[Lindsay?s] so alone out there in the world in terms of structure and people to nurture her. She is so talented. Oh my gosh, she can access emotion like nothing… And she just makes me cry. I just want to take her in my arms and hold her until she’s grown up.?

The 68 year old screen star – whose latest venture includes tackling women’s topics on the airwaves for the very first female owned and managed radio network, Greenstone Media – knows all too well the pressures that go into achieving success as a young woman in Hollywood.

?It’s hard after a while to party very hard and work very hard,? she says, ?she’ll learn that.?

In this case, Lindsay learned her lesson in the form a letter she received from James Robinson, the CEO of the company behind “Georgia Rule” who called her “a spoiled child”, “irresponsible” and “unprofessional.” Jane says that the rest of the cast knew full well what was going on.

?I think every once in a while a very, very young person who is burning both ends of the candle needs to have somebody say you know, you?re going to pay the piper,? Fonda tells Maria, ?you better slow down.?
