It’s Happy Birthday For Robert Pattinson, Who Turns 25 Today!

Friday marks a momentous day for Twi-hards all over the world – the 25th birthday of “The Twilight Saga” star Robert Pattinson!

The handsome heartthrob was born on May 13, 1986, in London, England, and got his big break as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”

He soon exploded into superstardom playing Hollywood’s hottest vampire-with-a-heart, Edward Cullen, in Stephenie Meyer’s “The Twilight Saga” films, and is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after leading men, most recently starring alongside Reese Witherspoon in “Water for Elephants,” and Uma Thurman in the upcoming “Bel Ami.”

Here at Access Hollywood, we’ve enjoyed quite a few memorable moments with the beloved RPattz over the years.

Robert first caught our eye in 2005 at the London junket for “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” when he dissolved into a fit of giggles after admitting he hadn’t actually read any of J.K. Rowling’s famed wizardry novels – well, he’d “tried” to read the books, but given up because, as he told us at the time, “What’s the point of reading?!?”

Our fascination with the sometimes silly star continued as we followed his quiet romance with onscreen flame Kristen Stewart, whom he jokingly told us he “proposed to a lot” on the set of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

Access’ laughs with Robert continued as he blossomed into a highly respected actor, holding his own alongside Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon in the period romance, “Water for Elephants.”

The charming Brit was quick to poke fun at his “Elephants” co-star at the film’s April 2010 junket in Los Angeles, where he revealed he and Reese had worked together on a previous project.

“Reese played my grandmother,” Robert deadpanned to Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson of the pair’s collaboration on 2004’s ‘Vanity Fair,” while Reese playfully smacked his arm.

“Oh God — it was bad enough I played his mother in a movie!” Reese responded.
