Jack Ryan’s Chris Pine: Kevin Costner Is ‘Wonderful & Gracious,’ A True Movie Star

Chris Pine teamed up with Kevin Costner for the upcoming action thriller, “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,” and the 33-year-old star had nothing but praise for his iconic co-star.

“[Kevin] was so wonderful and gracious. There was no patronizing happening,” Chris told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the “Jack Ryan” junket, when asked about his experience working with the big screen vet. “I think just by watching him you gain so much.

“By watching [fellow co-star] Ken [Branagh], being around people that have been in the business and that have worked at that level, you can only add to your experience and your bag of tools,” he added.

Chris said Kevin, 58 (who has won Academy Awards, Emmys and Golden Globes during his three-plus decades in the entertainment industry), exudes a hard-won confidence when in front of the camera.

“Kevin just has a comfort in front of the screen,” Chris said. “He’s been a movie star for so long – he knows how to do it. And you just watch.”
