Jane Fonda Tackles Paris, Heiress Cuddles Puppies

Hollywood is continuing to support a California judge’s sentence of Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail for violating her probation.

The latest celebrity speaking out over Paris’ sentence? Jane Fonda, who has seen the inside of a cell herself after being arrested in 1970 for allegedly disturbing the peace. Fonda however, did not serve time.

“I’m glad she’s being sentenced. I’m glad she is going to do the time,” Fonda told Larry King on his CNN show. “If she were black, if she were poor, she would have done it much sooner.”

When Larry asked how kids can be turned around, Jane responded quickly.

“Kids need structure. Kids need a good foundation and values,” she said. “And if you don’t have that in your life as a young person, it’s really tough and especially if you’re rich and spoiled and you are made into a celebrity.”

Hilton took solace with her three dogs yesterday – one of them giving her a comforting lick. Paris had apparently returned from the gym when she was spotted cuddling these adorable pooches.

Surprisingly, Paris is admitting some culpability saying “I do not expected to be treated better than anyone else who violated their probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse.”

Paris will not be allowed to use her cell phone while in jail. A former jail worker also told Access Hollywood, that one of Paris’ favorite things – mirror time – will be hard to come by.

“The mirror’s like, some silver plate thing and it’s like you can barely see yourself,” the jail worker said.
