Jane Lynch: Glee Cory Monteith Tribute Is One Of The ‘Most Beautiful Episodes’ Ever

As “Glee” nears its Season 5 premiere (September 26), series star Jane Lynch has opened up about the show’s upcoming tribute to late star Cory Monteith.

“They did a beautiful job,” Jane told Access Hollywood after receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. “It’s one of the most beautiful episodes I’ve ever read.”

Jane, who plays Sue Sylvester on the Fox show, said “Glee’s” original writers, Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk wrote the emotional episode and poured their hearts and souls into creating a tribute worthy of Cory, who passed away from a combination of heroin and alcohol in July.

“I know [Ryan, Ian and Brad] dug deep for it – they loved Cory,” she said.

“We all loved him, so it’s like we’ve lost a family member and we have to now go on TV and tell the story,” she continued, becoming visibly emotional. “But it’s been beautiful at the same time.”

Thankfully, the “Hollywood Game Night” host said they are having some fun on the “Glee” set – especially with some of their new (and returning) cast members.

“Demi Lovato is a doll,” Jane said. “And I’m so glad NeNe [Leakes] back – she’s amazing. I love acting with her. And I love how they write for her.

“She’s got some hilarious stuff this season,” she added, laughing.
