Jane Lynch: ‘I Bet There Will Be An Appearance’ By ‘Glee’ Cast During Emmys Broadcast

“Glee” star Jane Lynch landed the coveted Emmy Awards hosting gig this year, but will the rest of the musical gang from McKinley High be helping her out during the broadcast?

“As of now, we’re still putting together those pieces, I pitched a couple of ideas for the ‘Glee’ cast, so I bet there will be an appearance,” Jane told reporters on Tuesday.

Jane hinted at an appearance by the New Directions members, but stopped short of revealing the details.

“We haven’t finalized it and I don’t want to give anything away,” she explained.

The actress, who is nominated Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series this year for her Sue Sylvester character, also revealed that the creative team behind her hit FOX series might also lending their expertise and pen some of her host material.

“We’ve kind of been hunkering down with what the show is going to look like and what will be in it, but we will be reaching out [to the ‘Glee’ team] very, very soon,” she explained.

As for tips that Sue might give Jane on hosting the show, Jane told reporters with a laugh, “Somehow find a way to give all the awards to yourself!”

The actress said she’s also been re-thinking the number of wardrobe changes she’ll be making.

“When people first asked me, when I first got the gig, if I would be changing my dress every time I came out, I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ But I will be changing my dress every time I come out,” Jane revealed.

Ultimately, the star said she’s working hard to deliver the best show possible.

“You want to make a splash, we want it to be special. It’s such a coveted spot. It’s like the biggest evening in television… You want to do it justice, I know I do. I’m humbled by it,” she told reporters. “I’m staying in the moment, I’m knocking out what I need to knock out. I’m doing my best for each moment of it. You take it a piece at a time, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I hope it’s really a splash.”

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air on Sunday, September 18 at 8 PM ET/5PM PT on FOX
