Jane Lynch To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

“Glee” star Jane Lynch is headed to “Saturday Night Live.”

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that the Emmy nominated actress would host the NBC show on October 9.

“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter that he accidentally told Jane about her upcoming hosting gig.

“I notified her by accident,” Ryan told THR at the “Eat Pray Love” premiere in New York. “‘Saturday Night Live’ called to say, ‘Would you give us Jane for a week in October?’ We just don’t do that, but for Lorne Michaels, I said yes.”

The “Glee” guru said he gave the actress the good news via a text message.

“I said, ‘Lady, you’re doing ‘Saturday Night Live,’” Ryan explained. “And she literally wrote back, ‘What are you talking about?’”

The musical guest for the October 9 show has not yet been booked.
