Jane Says Farewell To ‘Dancing’; Marie Will Return

Jane Seymour was the seventh celebrity voted off “Dancing with the Stars” on Wednesday night.

The former “Bond” babe was given the bad news — that her “Dancing” run was over, by co-host Tom Bergeron. Despite having to leave the show, Jane said it was one of the most rewarding experiences she has ever had.

“It was so worth doing this,” Jane told the audience. “This has just been an unbelievable dream.”

Tears welled up in her eyes as she thanked partner Tony Dovolani for helping her overcome major obstacles including a serious back condition, to “Dance” for seven weeks straight.

“I’m kind of teary about it because I’ve had the best time of my life and I can’t believe what Tony got me to do,” she said.

It was an emotional season for the 56-year-old.

Jane sadly lost her beloved mother, Mieke Frankenbger, in early October. After flying to England for the funeral, she continued dancing in honor of her mom, who loved the British version of the show and inspired Jane to dance on it.

Just weeks later, Jane’s home was one of the many threatened in the Malibu fires. Then, last week, Jane was rushed to hospital before Wednesday’s results show, after being hit with a bout of food poisoning.

As far as exits went, Jane’s was a classy one. The actress was able to dance for her late friend Johnny Cash on Tuesday’s episode, loaning Tony one of the legendary crooner’s watches, herself wearing a pin belonging to Johnny’s beloved wife June.

While it was a bittersweet moment for Jane Seymour, the evening offered some levity for Marie Osmond, who at the show’s opening was revealed as safe to dance another week.

Osmond’s father George passed away hours after watching Marie and her “Dancing” partner Jonathan Roberts do a quickstep tribute to him and his wife on Tuesday’s show.

“She called her dad and told her our dance was dedicated to him,” Jonathan revealed on Wednesday’s episode.

He also said, despite the tremendous loss, Marie would not be leaving the competition.

“Marie’s gonna be fine,” Jonathan said. “she’s with her family right now. It’s gonna be a rough week, but we’ll be back.”
