Jane Seymour Will Return To ‘Dancing’ In Memory Of Her Mother

“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Jane Seymour was safe from elimination last night, but as fans of the show know, there were other things on her mind.

Seymour left the country following Monday’s competition show after learning her beloved mother Mieke Frankenberg, the person for whom she had been dancing, had died.

Jane learned of the news after competing with partner Tony Dovolani, immediately jumping on a plane for her native England. Seymour’s tragic news left many wondering if she would return to the show.

Tuesday night, however, “Dancing” co-host Tom Bergeron let viewers know that Jane’s dance at the beginning of the week had not only passed the viewers vote, but that she would be back on the show.

“Jane and Tony are safe to dance again next week,” Bergeron told the crowd. “We are happy to say that Jane has decided to remain in the competition as a tribute to her mother’s memory.”

Backstage at the event, Jane’s absence was felt by the cast, who sent the grieving Seymour their best wishes.

“We all love her and we wish her well,” Marie Osmond told Access Hollywood. “I would do anything for Jane.”

“My heart goes out to her,” “All My Children” star Cameron Mathison said.

More than just hearts, billionaire businessman Mark Cuban told Access, special words were said behind the scenes for Seymour.

“We said a prayer for her in the back,” he noted.

Osmond revealed she was alongside Jane when she got the news and she told Access she could relate on a very personal level.

“I lost my mom a few years ago,” Osmond said. “I was with her for four years before she passed away. Jane knew her mother was very sick as well but I don’t care how much you prepare for that, you are never ready for that.”

With news they would be continuing to next week, after the show, Jane’s dance partner Tony boarded a plane in London. The two will prepare in Jane’s native England for next Monday’s competition.

Meanwhile, in related “Dancing” news, the second contestant to be voted off this season was model Albert Reed.

Now that he’s hung up his dancing shoes, Reed said several other entertaining prospects interest him.

“I have been studying film for quite a while and doing independent films and stuff so hopefully maybe that is my calling, also might do a album,” he said.
