Janet Jackson Announces New Music, New World Tour

Can we call her Miss Jackson if we’re happy? Janet Jackson is back!

After a seven-year break, the pop superstar is making new music and will headline a world tour, she announced via Vimeo late Friday night.

“I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” she says in a voiceover in the video, without showing her face. “This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going.”

Janet made the exciting announcement just hours before her 49th birthday (May 16).

The singer – who married Wissam Al Mana in 2012 – hasn’t released a new studio album since 2008’s “Discipline.”
