Jason Priestley Headed Back To Primetime TV

Jason Priestley is bringing Brandon back to primetime TV – but not to his old zip code.

The former “Beverly Hills 90210” star will guest star on an episode of NBC’s “My Name Is Earl,” a publicist for the network revealed to Access Hollywood.

“His character is coincidentally named Brandon and is Earl’s successful good looking cousin,” the publicist told Access.

Priestley’s character shows up in a flashback for Earl (Jason Lee) and Joy’s (Jamie Pressly) first anniversary.

“Earl finds out that prior to the marriage, Brandon and Joy had an affair and fumes as ever since they were children, Brandon has been better at everything,” the rep added.

The gig marks Priestley’s first in-front-of-the-camera TV spot since he starred in the 2007 Lifetime series “A Side Order of Life.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Priestley will return to the set of The CW’s “90210” this season – but only as a director. He also directed 18 episodes of the original “Beverly Hills 90210” series.
