Jay Z Attacked By Beyonce’s Sister Solange (Report)

Beyonce, sister Solange and Jay Z’s Met Gala night took a turn for the worse.

New surveillance video footage obtained by TMZ from May 12 appears to show Solange, 27, physically attacking the rapper, 44, inside an elevator at The Standard in New York City following the fashion event.

As seen on the video, after entering the elevator, the woman — who appears to be Solange — approaches Jay Z and then hits and repeatedly kicks him. The woman is then restrained by another man in the elevator. Beyonce is then seen in the footage, standing between her husband and sister, while Solange is still being held by back, by the man, possibly a bodyguard.

The woman then continues to kick at the rapper, in one instance coming very close to hitting Beyonce.

While being retrained, the woman also appears to be yelling at Jay Z.

At no point during the video does Jay Z become physical in return with the woman, other than to fend off the attacks.

Following the elevator melee, the trio was seen exiting the hotel, with Beyonce and Solange getting in one car together, while the rapper left in a separate car.

Reps for Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange were not immediately available for comment on Monday. However, a spokesperson for The Standard hotel issued a statement to Access Hollywood about the video being made public.

“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity,” the statement noted.
