Jay-Z To Open Nets’ Arena In Brooklyn With Concert Next Year

Nets part-owner Jay-Z will open the team’s new Brooklyn arena by performing there next September.

The hip-hop mogul said at a news conference Monday across the street from the construction site that he will perform “one, two, maybe three” times at the Barclays Center. Dates have yet to be set.

Jay-Z also made it official that the club will be called the Brooklyn Nets.

The franchise is scheduled to move from New Jersey for the 2012-13 season.
