Jeff Goldblum Wins Restraining Order Against Woman

LOS ANGELES (March 1, 2007) — Actor Jeff Goldblum has been given a restraining order against a woman who appeared at his home more than 50 times in the recent months.

Court papers said the woman has shown an “escalating pattern” of stalking behavior.

A Los Angeles judge ordered Linda Ransom to stay at least 100 yards away from Goldblum, as well as his home, work and vehicle.

Ransom declined to comment when reached by phone. In a six-page declaration given to the court, she said she met Goldblum in 1999 at an acting school where he teaches.

Goldblum says the woman parked her car across his driveway to block him at his house, and sent threatening letters.
