Jeffrey Katzenberg: ‘Thank You LA County Fire Department’

Dreamworks executive Jeffery Katzenberg was one of the many Malibu-dwelling celebrities caught up in California’s recent fires.

Yesterday Access Hollywood reported that the Hollywood mogul has his own private firefighting force on his payroll.

Not true, according to a rep for the exec. Katzenberg, like many of his fellow Malibu residents, relies on the help of the LA County Fire Department, which has been working hard to save the community.

“Thankfully, my home and family remain safe, due in large part to the heroic efforts of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and emergency services personnel,” Katzenberg said in a statement. “Their Herculean effort over the past several days has ensured the safety of many Malibu Canyon residents and we are forever indebted to them. My heart goes out to those who lost their homes and properties in this tragedy. As a long-time Malibu resident, I want to thank the local, county and state firefighters and officials for responding to this crisis with relentless expediency and care.”
