Jenna Fischer: Pam To Get ‘New Position’ In ‘The Office’

Michael Scott may not be the only one spending less time in “The Office.”

Jenna Fischer (who plays paper saleswoman Pam Halpert on the hit NBC comedy) recently revealed her character might soon become more of a stay-at-home mom.

“Pam gets a new job this year,” Jenna said in an interview with The LA Times’ Brand X blog. “Some of that revolves around her desire to be a little bit more available to her family and also have an easier job. So she manages to finagle a new position at work.”

“Office” newlyweds Pam and Jim (played by John Krasinski) became the proud parents of a baby girl during season six, and Jenna said fans could expect to see more of baby Cece (played by a set of twins) in the upcoming season.

“They got the cutest [babies] in town to play our baby,” she said. “So far she’s been in three of our first seven episodes — pretty much any time we get to see baby Cece is great.”

Jenna can soon be seen on the big screen with Owen Wilson and Christina Applegate in the Farrelly brothers’ comedy “Hall Pass,” which is slated to hit theaters in February.

Catch the season premiere of “The Office” on September 23 at 9 on NBC.
