Jennifer Garner: I Don’t Want To Just Be ‘Wife Of’ Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner sometimes opts to walk the red carpet solo, leaving husband Ben Affleck to pose for photos on his own.

The 41-year-old star says it’s simply a career move – not a personal decision.

“Sometimes it’s a pain because my heels are so high and it would be really nice to have his arm. And he’s such a great date! But it can be too much,” the actress told Allure’s September issue. “I think especially for women, they can really lose their identity and just become ‘wife of.’”

Jennifer, who gave birth to the couple’s third child (but first son) in February 2012, said her husband is “taller” and “more handsome then you’d think he could be.”

While the two co-starred in 2003’s “Daredevil,” Jennifer said she doesn’t want to sign on for films with Ben now that they’re married.

“People see paparazzi shots of us together all the time. There’s no mystery,” she explained. “People are sick of us.”
