Jennifer Lawrence On Filming First Sex Scene With Chris Pratt: ‘I Got Really, Really Drunk’

Jennifer
Lawrence’s nerves may have gotten the better of her while working alongside
fellow A-lister Chris Pratt.

The
Oscar winner filmed her “first real sex scene” with Chris for their
upcoming film “Passengers,” and told The Hollywood Reporter during its annual Actress Roundtable that she
had trouble managing her stress before and after the shoot.

“It
was weird,” Jennifer said, adding that her discomfort had nothing to do
with the working conditions.

“Everything
was done right; nobody did anything wrong,” she said. “It’s just a
bizarre experience.”

When
asked how she prepared herself, Jennifer said she decided to try unwinding with
a couple of cocktails beforehand.

“You
drink,” she told the trade mag. “I got really, really drunk.”

However,
the superstar admitted that her plan to take the edge off ultimately backfired.

“That
led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I
don’t know,'” she said of imbibing before the scene.

Even
Jennifer’s usual professionalism was no match for the awkward on-camera
encounter, she said, explaining that Chris’ personal life was a factor in her
hesitation.

“It
was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst
feeling in your stomach,” she said of the “Jurassic World” star,
who’s been wed to Anna Faris since 2009. “I knew it was my job, but I
couldn’t tell my stomach that.”

She
coped by reaching out to a familiar source for reassurance.

“So
I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s OK?'”
Jennifer said. “It was just very vulnerable.  And you don’t know
what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but
then … That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.”

Despite
the difficulty she experienced on “Passengers,” Jennifer said she’s
never said no to an on-set task.

“I
don’t think so,” she said, recalling one of the more memorable moments from
her breakthrough turn in “Winter’s Bone.”

“I
mean, I’ve skinned a squirrel,” she added.

“Passengers”
hits theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
