Jennifer Lopez Reveals Lessons She’ll Pass On To Twins

Jennifer Lopez stepped out last night at Glamour Magazine’s 21st Annual Women of the Year Awards, where she revealed how she’s recently grown and how she’ll pass her recent life lessons on to her children.

“I think I’ve learned in the past year or two is that I can stand on my own two feet, and to give myself credit for that,” Jennifer, who announced her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony was over in July, told Access Hollywood.

“To really give myself a little bit of love, instead of always beating myself up for what I didn’t do or how I could have done something better or what else I’m going to do next,” she continued. “Just take a minute and a beat to appreciate the things that I have accomplished. That’s something that I have to work on, but I’m working on it. I’m getting better at it, I think.”

Taking time to appreciate herself is also something she hopes to impart on her twins, Emme and Max, 3, especially her daughter.

“That’s the one thing I want to teach my daughter – to love herself, and to feel good all on her own, no matter what happens,” the star, who showed of some serious leg in an Atelier Versace gown and Jimmy Choo heels, continued.

Adding, “I just want to teach [my kids] to be great people, to love themselves, to love others, to treat others with respect and kindness, to know that they’re in a privileged position, and to be charitable and work hard… just because you have success doesn’t mean that you stop doing those things.”
