Jenny McCarthy Dishes On Co-Hosting ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ Special, Recants Dating Desire For ‘Bald’ Men

Jenny McCarthy will return to co-host “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” special this year, and the TV personality revealed she was initially nervous about being part of the famed celebration.

“I was really scared to do it in the first place last year, and then, I’ve gotta say, it was one of those bucket list things you’ve got to experience,” Jenny told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live of her first appearance on the show in 2010. “It was a high in itself.”

This year’s countdown to 2012 will have extra significance, as it marks 40th anniversary of the Dick Clark-founded special – a landmark moment Dick himself will be on hand to applaud.

“Yes, he will be doing the countdown,” the bubbly blonde answered, when asked if Dick will be involved with this year’s event.

Jenny, who famously planted a kiss on sports agent Paul Krepelka at midnight on New Year’s Eve 2010, said there’s one man she definitely will not be kissing as the clock strikes 12 – her co-host, Ryan Seacrest.

“He’s got a girlfriend! She will ‘Dancing with a Star’ all over my face,” Jenny laughed, referencing Ryan’s ladylove Julianne Hough’s “DWTS” roots. “She’s smokin’ hot. I mean, that’s a catch. If he doesn’t like, tie that one up, he’s stupid!”

While Ryan certainly seems to be happily in love, Jenny said she hasn’t been as lucky in the romance department.

Back in November, the former “Singled Out” co-host told Access she was looking for “a man’s man,” and would be fine dating someone “bald” – a revelation that caused dozens of follically-challenged men to submit their pictures in hopes of winning a date with the 39-year-old, forcing Jenny to somewhat recant her previous statement.

“When I say I’m OK with bald… doesn’t mean I want it,” she told Billy and Kit.
